Join jazz artist Ana Nelson in this class... where you'll learn all about the scales and modes used in improvisation! Including what modes to know, how to practice them, and how to utilize them in improvisation.

Meet your teachers!
For the past 4 years, Ana and Amanda been teaching adults how to improvise through Virtual Woodwind Academy. It all started when Amanda took improv lessons with Ana during the pandemic.
Amanda's thoughts: "I literally went to a conservatory for 7 years and never once learned how to improvise. It looks like so much fun, and I just want to enjoy playing music again."

Ana, who has about 5 degrees in both jazz AND classical performance.... as well as perfect pitch and an album of original music funded by a Presser Grant...is pretty much perfect for the job.
