In July 2020, The Virtual Woodwind Academy launched its first all-intensive one-week summer workshop!! Participants benefited from innovative online training for musicians of all ages who play flute, saxophone and clarinet. The workshop included private study, masterclasses, chamber music and music theory in both classical and jazz genres. Students developed their skills through chamber music collaboration, performance, and discussion, and had the opportunity to work with a diverse array of other woodwind musicians from across the nation! The academy offered guest artist workshops on a variety of different topics, and featured recitals from renowned woodwind artists Amanda Dame (flute) and Ana Nelson (saxophone/clarinet).
